The International Safety Council extends the work of the Council around the world. ISC has 1,500 international member locations from more than 94 countries and conducts the business, advocacy and grant programs of the National Safety Council outside of the United States. Global Events

First National Defensive Driving and Safety Road  Conference.
The First National Defensive Driving and Road Conference took place in Bogotá (Colombia) on April 6, 2011. This event was attended by more than two hundred representatives of ninety-seven national and multinational companies from various economic sectors, and the main government institutions, which include the Secretary of Transportation, National Traffic and Transport Police and the Direction of the Road Protection Fund Corporation, and the International Chair of the National Safety Council (Itasca - Illinois), Mr. Roger H. Marks and International Account Manager  Mrs. Silvia Sandoval. Read more.

Decade of Action for Road Safety
This initiative, promoted by the United Nations, the World Health Organization, among many others, encourages governments around the world to get involved. Traffic crashes take a huge toll in countries around the world, especially the developing countries. This Decade of Action just kicked off on May 11, 2011 and seeks to save 5 million lives over the next 10 years. June is National Safety Month - plan to participate

Each June, the National Safety Council encourages organizations to get involved and participate in National Safety Month. Each week carries a theme that brings attention to critical safety issues.  Members get more during National Safety Month and all year long.

Members have the ability to promote their membership via the NSC Proud Member Logo. Members are encouraged to place this logo on their websites, stationery, newsletters, annual reports, etc. The logo use must follow the guidelines set by the National SafetyCouncil.
