AMECO Recognized by National Safety Council for Safety Achievements

Itasca, IL – The National Safety Council recently recognized AMECO with multiple awards in occupational safety. Most prominently, AMECO received the Council’s Industry Leader Award for achieving the best performance – lowest total incidence rating – based on lost workday cases in their NAICS code of construction, mining, forestry machinery, and equipment leasing and rental.

“AMECO is honored to be a long term member of the National Safety Council. In fact, our membership is a leading indicator of our success,” said Gary Bernardez, AMECO president. “By presenting AMECO with the Industry Leader Award, the National Safety Council not only highlights our global commitment to safety but also recognizes our performance. This award emphasizes the importance of our inherent safety values and will aid in strengthening our 2012 safety goals -- to achieve ZERO Incidents,” said Bernardez.

The Industry Leader is one component of the NSC Occupational Awards Program, which judges members for their overall safety performance throughout the year. NSC has more than 51,000 member including businesses, labor organizations, schools, public agencies, private groups and individuals.
