The National Action Summit for Latino Worker Health and Safety is scheduled for April 14-15 in Houston. The summit, co-sponsored by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, brings together safety and health professionals, along with government officials, employer associations, labor unions and more.
The construction industry, which employs a large number of Latino workers, will be the primary focus of the summit, along with other high-risk industries. The summit also will address how Latino workers can reduce injuries by improving their knowledge of workplace rights.
