Itasca, Ill. – The National Safety Council has appointed Anne Gehring of Evanston, Ill., as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Her career includes 20 years of successful leadership experience across multiple industries at General Electric, Fifth Third Bancorp, Chiquita Brands International and ABN-AMRO. Two of the General Electric companies for which she served as CFO were over $4 billion in revenue.
Ms. Gehring holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Miami University, Ohio, and is completing a Master of Liberal Arts degree from the University of Chicago. A Certified Six Sigma Green Belt, Ms. Gehring is a designated expert in applying specific types of quality management methods to improve business and financial performance.
