Today, the National Safety Council received an award from the NORA Manufacturing Sector Council for being an exemplary partner in moving research into practice to prevent occupational illnesses, injuries, hazardous exposures and fatalities in manufacturing.
Jim Johnson, group vice president of Workplace Safety Initiatives at the National Safety Council, and member of the NORA Manufacturing Sector Council, accepted the award on behalf of NSC. The NORA National Manufacturing Agenda aims to spearhead a national campaign and call for action to identify and develop partnerships to improve occupational safety and health in manufacturing.
The award was given in conjunction with the NORA Manufacturing Sector Conference: Partnerships to Improve Occupational Safety and Health held Sept. 7-8 in Cincinnati, OH.
