Itasca, IL - Ellen J. Kullman, Group Vice President - DuPont Safety & Protection, has been elected to the National Safety Council Board of Directors. The Board of Directors, now comprised of 31 members, is the council's principal governance body and provides oversight over fiduciary and strategic affairs.
Ms. Kullman, one of the top-ranking women at DuPont, heads the company's $4 billion Safety and Protection business. She is responsible for leading the DuPont businesses that provide customers throughout the world with innovative safety, protection and security solutions. She brings an extensive background in business management, marketing and engineering to the NSC board.
Ms Kullman has held several leadership positions during her 16-year career at DuPont. Prior to joining DuPont, she worked for General Electric in various business development, marketing and sales positions. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Tufts University and an MBA from Northwestern University. She is a member of the Board of Directors of General Motors Corporation.
