Rock ‘n’ Community: Connections for a Cause Rocks Chicago
Networking and philanthropy event to raise funds for Safe Communities America

Chicago – On Sept. 30, the National Safety Council – headquartered in the Chicago suburbs and in the city for its annual Congress & Expo – is hosting  Rock ‘n’ Community: Connections for a Cause™. The event will take place from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. in the Skyline Ballroom foyer at McCormick West for the more than 13,000 attendees of this annual event.

The NSC Congress & Expo is the world's largest annual gathering of safety, health and environmental professionals, offering educational opportunities, networking events and an Expo floor featuring safety solutions from more than 900 exhibitors. Funds raised at this year’s Rock ‘n’ Community will go to helping keep communities safe through the Safe Communities America program. This program distinguishes communities that are mobilizing their key stakeholders to collaboratively address their specific safety challenges to keep everyone in the community safer.

While giving back, Rock ‘n’ Community participants from the NSC Congress & Expo will be able to:
  • Network with other safety professionals
  • Enjoy live entertainment from the Brother John Band
  • Watch performances from the DePaul University Dance Team
  • Participate in a silent auction and 50/50 raffle
  • See the impact current Safe Communities America coalitions are making
A special thank you to the event sponsors, including: CNA, Nielsen Clothing, Norlab Calibration Gases and Equipment and UL.

About the National Safety Council
Founded in 1913 and chartered by Congress, the National Safety Council, nsc.org, is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to save lives by preventing injuries and deaths at work, in homes and communities, and on the road through leadership, research, education and advocacy. NSC advances this mission by partnering with businesses, government agencies, elected officials and the public in areas where we can make the most impact – distracted driving, teen driving, workplace safety, prescription drug overdoses and Safe Communities. Safety+Health magazine, the Council’s flagship publication, is a leading source of occupational safety and health information.
