Itasca, IL – The National Safety Council announced today that seven safety professionals have been awarded its Distinguished Service to Safety Award. The award is the highest honor bestowed on an individual safety professional by NSC in recognition of outstanding service to the field of safety. The seven recipients will be inducted during the opening session of NSC's 93rd Annual Congress & Expo in Orlando.
This year's recipients are:

- Greg Hale, Chief Safety Officer & Vice President, Safety, Accessibility and Advanced Technology for Walt Disney Parks & Resorts, Lake Buena Vista, FL
- Andy Garcia-Rivera, Director, Department of Safety, University of Wisconsin, Madison, WI
- Lucena Slaten, Reservation Agent, Northwest Airlines, Inc., St. Paul, MN
- Steven T. Theis, CSP, CHMM, CUSA, Vice President Safety, MYR Group, Inc., Rolling Meadows, IL
- Wilson M. Yancey, Jr., Director of Corporate Safety, Quanta Services, Inc., Houston, TX
- Stephen F. Campbell, Executive Director, Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance, Washington, DC
