Interested in starting a workplace vaccination clinic?

National Safety Council has been approached by Westat, the firm supporting CDC’s National Influenza Vaccination campaign for the 2011-2012 season.  As they gear up for National Influenza Vaccination Week (NIVW) which is December 4th – 10th, 2011, they wanted to partner with NSC to promote NIVW and conduct flu vaccine clinics.  Westat can assist you in sharing CDC’s flu vaccine messages and materials and where possible, provide vaccination clinics for their employees and their families, members, and/or their community

Through the relationships with Walgreens and Maxim, Westat has the ability to engage them to work with you, support you every step of the way, and ensure that your NIVW event is as turnkey as possible. Most of you may be familiar with Walgreens but in case MaximWellness is new to you, it is a community-driven organization that is committed to educating the public about the benefits of flu and pneumonia immunization and ensuring that the vaccine is widely accessible. Both companies have the ability to provide the vaccine and the vaccine administrators (trained nurses and other healthcare professionals) and to attend your event at no cost to you.

If you are interested in learning more, please contact Amelia Burke AmeliaBurke@westat.com to get started.
