Building and managing a family safety and health program is a critical key to improving both productivity and the bottom line. 

The goal of a family safety and health program is to influence employees to follow the same good practices outside of the workplace as they do on the job.  Off-the-job injuries and illness cost employers millions each year through lost wages, medical and hospital expenses and administrative expenses associated with insurance. 

A family safety and health program is a logical extension of an occupational safety and health management system. Experience indicates, however, many individuals tend to leave their training at the workplace when they go home. Therefore, the workplace can be a valuable venue for promoting family safety and wellness to prevent injury, illness and death.
