As a part of the National Safety Council and Business & Industry Division, the Food & Beverage Section supports their efforts to save lives by preventing injuries and death at work, in homes and communities, and on the roads through leadership, research, education and advocacy. We accomplish this through:
- Studying issues common to our membership while preparing and providing useful information to address them
- Speaking for the industries represented by membership and representing the overall National Safety Council
- Serving as a technical advisory group by maintaining and expanding the services and publications applicable to Section members
- Promoting an exchange of information between members of the Section, nonmembers and the public
- Furthering the interests of incident prevention (both on-the-job and off-the-job)
- Encouraging effective incident prevention work by serving the Section’s industries
