
The International Air Transport Section (ART) Executive Committee (EX) of the National Safety Council is NSC’s oldest, and only international, Section. ARTEX is a section under the Business and Industry Division. ARTEX was founded in 1928 and has hosted regular aviation ground safety seminars and networking meetings for more than 80 years.
The broad purpose of ARTEX is to promote, within the aviation industry, on an international basis, sound management principles of injury and illness reduction, aircraft and equipment damage prevention, safety management systems, public education, safety training, and safety through design. More
