The International Air Transport Section (ART) Executive
Committee (EX) of the National Safety Council is NSC’s oldest, and only
international, Section. ARTEX is a section under the
Business and Industry Division. ARTEX was founded in 1928 and has hosted
regular aviation ground safety seminars and networking meetings for more than 80
years.
The broad purpose of ARTEX is to promote, within the
aviation industry, on an international basis, sound management principles of
injury and illness reduction, aircraft and equipment damage prevention, safety
management systems, public education, safety training, and safety through
design.

The 2013 ARTEX Aviation Ground Safety Seminar and Section meeting will be held June 18-19 at the National Safety Council’s headquarters located in Itasca, Illinois.

The 2012 fall ARTEX section meeting was held on
Tuesday, October 23, 2012 from 1:30pm - 4:30pm at the Rosen Centre Hotel during
the 2012 NSC Congress & Expo to be held in Orlando, Florida.
The 2012 Summer ARTEX Aviation Ground Safety Seminar and
Section meeting was held June 13-14 at the NSC office located in Itasca, IL
(Chicago metro area). Please contact Sloane Grubb at

The 2011 NSC Congress& Expo was held in Philadelphia, PA.
Overall Congress dates are October 28-November 4 and the Expo dates are October
31- November 2, 2011.
The ARTEX section meeting was held on Tuesday, November 1st
at the Philadelphia Marriott hotel.
The 2011 ARTEX Safety Seminar & Section meeting was held in
Atlanta, GA on February 22 - 24, 2011.
