The group includes safety and health curriculum professors and their students. Its mission supports and promotes safety and health through educational programs, curriculum and research. Membership and involvement provide professional, academic and personal networking opportunities.
This group focuses on the unique safety concerns that affect professionals with environmental health and safety responsibilities in the higher education arena. This group collaborates with campus professionals from institutions across the nation and internationally to address and answer the challenges facing colleges and universities today.
The National Safety Council (NSC) through its College and University Strategic Advisory Group - Education & Research committee offers Graduate and Undergraduate (junior or senior year) students pursuing a degree in Occupational Safety & Health the opportunity to submit an application to participate in the Student Ambassador Award Program to attend the NSC Congress & Expo. This year's Congress & Expo was held in Philadelphia on October 31 - November 2.
We would like to congratulate the 2011 Student Ambassador recipients chosen to represent the College and University Strategic Advisory Group's Education and Research committe. They are:

In order to encourage new safety research and its adoption into real-world situations, the National Safety Council (NSC) through its College & University Strategic Advisory Group's College and University Initiative, invites occupational safety and health students (full-time, graduate and undergraduate) and professionals to participate in the NSC Research Poster Award Program.
This year's honorees presented and displayed their research posters during the first day of Expo at the NSC's 2011 Congress & Expo held in Philadelphia from October 31 through November 2, 2011. The honorees had the opportunity to meet and network with professionals in the Safety and Health industries, researchers, fellow students and attendees. We'd like to congratulate the 2011 NSC Research Poster Award Program honorees and thier chosen research topics, they are:
