The purpose of the College & University Initiative is to be the conduit for safety-focused information sharing and idea exchange with others in the higher education arena. It is made up of two separate groups:
The group includes safety and health curriculum professors and their students. Its mission supports and promotes safety and health through educational programs, curriculum and research. Membership and involvement provide professional, academic and personal networking opportunities.
This group focuses on the unique safety concerns that affect professionals with environmental health and safety responsibilities in the higher education arena. This group collaborates with campus professionals from institutions across the nation and internationally to address and answer the challenges facing colleges and universities today.
