Nominations Open March 20 for NSC Community Advancement Award

    The National Safety Council has announced the Community Advancement Award.

    The award, presented by the NSC Community Safety Division, recognizes employers who show a commitment to safety for their employees, families and the communities in which they operate by providing exemplary off-the-job safety and health programs.

    Nominations will be accepted from March 20 through May 5, 2017. Applicants will be scored on:

    • Organizational commitment to health and safety
    • Employee and employee family health and safety programs, both on and off the job
    • Community engagement around safety and health

    Winners will be awarded during the 2017  NSC Congress & Expo and will be recognized in Safety+Health magazine.
