    ​​The Transportation Division is comprised of industry professionals dedicated to identifying motor transportation safety needs and developing innovative solutions. These professionals share their knowledge and work to develop safety policies.

    The Transportation Safety Division is divided into four sections: Highway traffic safety, school transportation, transit and commercial/fleet and motor vehicle​.

    Transportation Safety Division Section meetings will be held as follows:

    • Aviation Safety Committee meeting: 2 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 24, room TBA
    • Commercial Vehicle/Fleet Sections combined meeting: 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 24, room TBA
    • School Transportation and Transit Section combined meeting: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., room TBA
    • Waterborne Transport Group: 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27, and 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, room TBA

    My Car Does What?


    MyCarDoesWhat.org is a national campaign to educate drivers on new vehicle safety technologies designed to help prevent crashes. The goal of this campaign is to explain to drivers how best to use these safety technologies, leading to safer driving. Follow MyCarDoesWhat on Facebook and Twitter.

The Transportation Safety Division welcomed new members, who also serve in the Young Professional Division, and listened to Ron Flegel of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMSHA) on the subject of federally regulated workplace drug policy.
