  • About Divisions


    ​As a National Safety Council member, you are invited to participate in a variety of industry/interest specific groups called “Divisions.” The purpose of divisions is to allow safety-focused information sharing and networking with others in your industry. Benefits of divisions include: networking with others in your field, attending industry-specific events and participating in safety-based discussions that impact your community.

  • Division Specific Awards


    ​Distinguished Service to Safety Award (DSSA Award)
    The Distinguished Service to Safety Award (DSSA) is the most prestigious award given to individuals by NSC. Nominees are accepted from two sources:

    1. NSC Divisions
    2. Members of NSC Board of Directors, Board of Delegates and/or Executive Staff

    Honorary Life Award (HLA Award)
     Recognizes members who have made significant, meaningful contributions to safety, health or the environment.
