Join Us as We Honor Our Accredited Safe Communities

  • Since 2007, 29 communities in the United States have earned Safe Community accreditation. We want to celebrate the hard work that goes into that accreditation by dedicating a day to this network.

Join us in recognizing those communities dedicated to building partnerships, enhancing resources and reducing injuries and deaths on Safe Communities America Day Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2016.

If you are part of an accredited Safe Community, you can participate by hosting an event, recognizing your safety leaders and spreading the word through social media.

    Spread the Word

Check out our Social Media Kit. It has lots of images and ideas for Facebook and Twitter posts you can start using right away. This SCA Day banner is sized for your Facebook cover photo.

In addition, help yourself to the following SCA Day materials:

Everyone who takes part in Safe Communities America Day can receive this Certificate of Participation, which can be signed by the mayor or another community official.  Display the certificate and all the SCA Day materials proudly. They are a great a reminder of and tribute to the people and partnerships dedicated to keeping thousands of Americans safer.
