New Orleans, LA - The National Safety Council (NSC) announced today the election of 23 new members of the Council's Board of Delegates. The elections occurred at the Annual Meeting of the National Safety Council, being held in conjunction with the 92nd Annual National Safety Council Congress & Expo.
The Board of Delegates provides direction to the Council on safety and health policy issues. The NSC also has a Board of Directors, which is the Council's principal governance body and provides oversight over fiduciary and strategic affairs, and a Board of Trustees, which oversees the NSC's development and fund raising.
The National Safety Council is a nonprofit, nongovernmental, international public service organization dedicated to protecting life and promoting health. Members of NSC include more than 45,000 businesses, labor organizations, schools, public agencies, private groups and individuals.
