Distinguished Service to Safety Award recipients honored

Itasca, IL – The National Safety Council (NSC) announced today that seven safety professionals have been awarded its Distinguished Service to Safety Award. The award is the highest honor bestowed on an individual safety professional by the NSC in recognition of outstanding service to the field of safety. The seven recipients will be inducted during the opening session of the National Safety Council's 93rd Annual Congress & Expo in Orlando.

This year's recipients are:

  • Greg Hale, Chief Safety Officer & Vice President, Safety, Accessibility and Advanced Technology for Walt Disney Parks & Resorts, Lake Buena Vista, FL

  • Lucena Slaten, Reservation Agent, Northwest Airlines, Inc., St. Paul, MN
  • Steven T. Theis, CSP, CHMM, CUSA, Vice President Safety, MYR Group, Inc., Rolling Meadows, IL
  • Wilson M. Yancey, Jr., Director of Corporate Safety, Quanta Services, Inc., Houston, TX
