We all know a healthier employee is a happier, more productive employee. Making healthier decisions can be difficult, but with the help of those around you, these decisions can become easier and turn into daily habits.
As we celebrate National Safety Month, join us in celebrating employee well-being with the Presidential Active Lifestyle Award Plus (PALA+) challenge. PALA+ is designed for anyone who wants to improve their lifestyle by eating healthier and exercising more.
Start a friendly competition with PALA+ or have employees sign up on their own. However you do it, you are showing your commitment to your employees' health and safety.
The PALA+ challenge goals are simple:
- . You need to be active 30 minutes a day, at least five days a week, for six out of eight weeks. Or, you can count your daily activity steps using a pedometer. The goal is 8,500 steps every day.
- . Each week, you’ll also focus on a healthy eating goal. There are eight to choose from, and each week you will add a new goal while continuing with your previous goals.
Help your employees get moving down the road to a better, more energized body and mind! The tools below will help you start, maintain and promote PALA+ in your workplace.
