Safety at Work: A Journey to Safety Excellence

Continue on a Journey to Safety Excellence

Join the National Safety Council on a "Journey to Safety Excellence," and help reduce the number of workplace injuries, illnesses and fatalities.  By partnering with the Council, you can improve safety at your company, engage workers across the organization, and add to the bottom line.

The council is helping businesses achieve safety excellence through research, thought leadership and practical tools.  We will help you determine where you are, what the gaps are to where you want to be, how to close the gaps and continue to improve, and how to reassess and measure your improvement while identifying additional needs.   The NSC can help you to:

  • Use Employee Perception Surveys to understand and improve Safety Leadership and Employee Engagement. Working to improve this shared ownership and responsibility will enhance your safety culture.
  • Complete Assessments to determine performance gaps and improvement opportunities in your Safety Management System. This will help you to evolve a framework of safety processes and procedures that help your company to achieve its safety objectives, and integrate safety in the business..
  • Continue Risk Reduction through a repeatable process focused on operational risk and how to make worker jobs safer.  Whether the problem is overexertion, slips, trips or falls, we can help you to understand risk and how to reduce it.
  • Use Benchmarking and Performance Measurement to see how you compare to your peer groups, how you have improved, and what gaps you have to close. Data strategies that allow for benchmarking, measuring improvement over baseline and predictive, prescriptive modeling
