Quick Off-The-Job Safety Presentations
The Family Safety and Health Resource is designed to link employers to tools to educate employees, who are often also parents and caregivers, on how to prevent:
The National Safety Council created this resource with the support of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Centers
for Disease Control and Prevention, National Center for Injury Prevention and
Control, under contract number, 200-2012-M-52649.
The National Action Plan for Child Injury Prevention targets
actions that would effectively influence the top injury issues in children. Motor vehicle crashes and poisonings from medications are two of the top two
risk areas of concern.
As a result, the National Safety Council has developed the following resources for employers. These materials are intended to be used independently as opportunities to educate employees arise, or in conjunction to support a more comprehensive presentation.
Resources include a PowerPoint presentation, 5-minute
safety talk and fact sheet(s).
