Some individuals are at high risk for acquiring and developing complications from a vaccine preventable disease. High risk individuals include:
- elderly
- pregnant women
- those with chronic conditions (such as asthma, diabetes, heart disease, sickle cell anemia, lung disease),
- those with a lower resistance to infections (individuals on chemotherapy).
High risk individuals should be encouraged to get vaccinated to protect themselves.
Employees without high risk health problems should receive vaccinations as well. They will protect individuals from infections, but will also protect those more vulnerable to disease.
Show your support and dedication to the health of your employees, their famililies and the community by promoting vaccinations. Giving employees the information and opportunity to get vaccinated will help advance towards a healthy and infection free workforce, which means a more productive and effective company.
