Washington – The charter for the Ocean Energy Safety Advisory Committee was renewed (.pdf file) Feb. 6 by Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar.

The committee, first chartered two years ago, advises the secretary of the interior and the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement on issues related to offshore energy safety, such as workplace safety and oil spill response.
