Senate confirms new CSB member

Washington – The Senate on Jan. 1 confirmed Beth J. Rosenberg as a member of the Chemical Safety Board.

Rosenberg comes from the Tufts University School of Medicine, where she has been a faculty member for 15 years. She served on the Science Advisory Board of the Toxics Use Reduction Institute for six years and has researched how to overcome the social obstacles to sustainable production systems, according to a CSB press release.

Rosenberg was nominated Sept. 20, 2012. Her confirmation leaves two vacancies on the five-person board.
