Kim Shambrook provides oversight for the Council’s consulting and occupational safety training programs. Her areas of responsibility include client service and delivery, curriculum development, implementation and modification of occupational safety and health training programs, services and systems.
Prior to joining NSC, Kim served as interim president of Kendall College in Chicago, where she served as the college’s chief executive officer, accountable for the operational, regulatory and academic performance of the school. She also served as Kendall College director of professional development and community outreach. Before joining Kendall, Kim was president, co-founder and executive chef of Bespoke Cuisine, a full-service catering company in Chicago. She also was a member of the adjunct faculty at Robert Morris University.
Kim has also served as vice president of operations at Closerlook, Inc., where she was the senior executive responsible for managing all internal operations, including facilities management, human resources, training and development, and information technology.
A native of Illinois, Kim holds a bachelor’s degree in education and a master’s degree in educational psychology from Eastern Illinois University.
