January 30, 2019

Itasca, IL – The National Safety Council congratulates Nicole Nason on her nomination as administrator of the Federal Highway Administration. Leadership and a commitment to safety excellence are needed at a time when motor vehicle crashes kill more than 100 people per day in the United States. Nason faces the challenges of doubling down on what works while embracing promising innovations and safe systems infrastructure design as potential solutions to safety challenges. We look forward to working closely with her to eliminate preventable deaths and make our roads safer.
