Chief Strategy and Safety Advisor, MAGTEC Products, Inc.

Gary’s career spans over 30 years as a transportation safety professional, senior business leader, safety thought leader and presenter. He serves as MAGTEC’s chief strategy and safety advisor.

Gary has been a volunteer for NSC for over 30 years, is a Distinguished Service to Safety Award winner and has helped the Council with many of its initiative’s over the years. Prior to joining MAGTEC, he served as FGA’s senior vice president of safety for all of its operating companies, including: First Student, Greyhound, First Vehicle Services and First Transit. These companies transported more than 2.5 billion passengers a year and over 6.5 million passengers a day. Gary also worked on FMCSA’s MCSAC committee for four years, providing input on CMV safety regulations. In 2020 Gary was one of the co-founders of the Safe Operating Speed Alliance and presents on the topic of speeding in the U.S. and Europe.
