Learning & Development Director, City of Atlanta, Department of Watershed Management

Roslyn D. Johnson is a stiletto gladiator (reference Olivia Pope from Scandal) – providing guidance to employees, management and more through training and development, trend analysis and business services that enhance the structure and processes of any organization – all while maintaining professionalism, poise, confidence and rocking a mean pair of heels!

Roslyn has a more than 17-year career with the City of Atlanta, having worked in the Atlanta Police Department for the Office of Code Enforcement, the Department of Watershed Management for the Office of Safety, Security and Emergency Management, and now in the Department of Watershed Management’s Office of the Chief Administrative Officer.

In her role with Code Enforcement, she along with members of the Mayor’s Office developed a Vacant Property Registration Program and legislation that is still in use today. With Safety, Security and Emergency Management (OSSEM), she created a new safety-related training unit and developed the processes and procedures for the way in which safety-related training is delivered to the entire department. This, along with the development of a DriveCam program and SOP (written by Roslyn), have helped reduce workplace related injuries by a margin of about 20-25% year-over-year for the past five years. Through her work with OSSEM, this advanced her into her current role as the Learning & Development Director for the entire Department of Watershed Management.

She also is vice Chair of the NSC Business & Industry Division, and a member of the NSC Diversity Task Force, the Women's Division and the Government & Public Sector Division.
