Tom Bell joined the Council’s executive team in August 2018. He is responsible for helping to grow the brand, drive business revenue and raise advocacy awareness through strategic marketing campaigns, creative content development, and direct and digital programs. He also is responsible for aligning business and advocacy audience objectives with organizational priorities by overseeing staff operations responsible for developing, directing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy to advance the Council’s mission.
Mr. Bell brings more than 20 years of sales and marketing experience to his position. He previously worked as SVP of marketing for Wells Fargo, focusing on new client acquisition, key segments and business initiatives, including workplace banking, affluent, small business and community bank marketing programs and strategies.
Supported by communications leaders across the organization, he will lead development of a consistent and targeted NSC presence. He will help drive a deeper understanding of the customer perspective and support efforts to align programs to key customer segments.
Mr. Bell lives in Chicago. A native of Pennsylvania, he earned a degree in political science from Pennsylvania State University. His career has led him to live on both coasts, with time spent in San Diego, San Francisco and Philadelphia. He also spent time in Illinois, where he graduated from Southern Illinois University School of Law, and he served as board chair of Mama’s Kitchen, a nonprofit agency in San Diego.
