MSD 101: A Small Business Guide to MSD Risk Management
1 p.m. (ET) April 17
Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) are particularly challenging for small businesses to navigate, as they often give the impression of occurring "randomly" when a worker performs a routine task such as a lift, bend, or even simply walks up and down a staircase. It's for this reason the National Safety Council launched the MSD Solutions Lab powered by Amazon in 2021, with a mission to provide employers and workers the research and resources they need to understand and reduce the risk of these costly and debilitating incidents. This session will provide an overview of MSDs, lay out a step-by-step guide for how small businesses can identify and reduce MSD risk, and showcase tools and approaches that can be put into practice at worksites in minutes, not months.
