Honors companies completing 12 consecutive months without an occupational injury or illness resulting in days away from work or death.

Honors companies achieving 1 million consecutive man-hours (or any other million increment) without an occupational injury or illness resulting in days away from work or death.

Significant Improvement Award
Honors companies demonstrating a minimum reduction of 20% in injuries and illnesses involving days away from work. It also recognizes companies maintaining or reducing fatalities in the current reporting year versus the previous year.

Honors companies achieving five consecutive "Perfect Record" years.

Superior Safety Performance Award
Honors companies, units or facilities that have achieved 10 consecutive "Perfect Record" years, operating at least 120 consecutive months without incurring an occupational injury or illness resulting in days away from work or death.

Lift Truck Operator Award
Honors outstanding safety practices by full- or part-time lift truck operators or organizations completing 480 consecutive hours without a reportable incident or injury involving a lift truck operation.

Occupational Excellence Achievement Award
Honors companies reporting injuries and illnesses involving days away from work equal to or less than 50% of the Bureau of Labor Statistics' rate for their six-digit NAICS Code and zero fatalities during the calendar year.

2011 Industry Leader Award Winners Announced
The Industry Leader Award recognizes the top 5 percent of member companies, units and facilities that have met the criteria and qualified for the 2011 Occupational Excellence Achievement Award. Only qualified applicants who submitted their data by March 20, 2011 were considered.
