Principal Consultant
Chuck Garwood has over 20 years of experience and service for the advancement of
safety and health within industry. He has served as a senior safety systems auditor
with Det Norske Veritas providing advice and expertise to clients worldwide in the
development and maintenance of their safety management systems. He served with the
Department of Defense as a key planner for the continuity of government functions
and operations in the event of a national emergency. He also served as a DOD liaison
with the Federal Emergency Management Agency for emergency planning and execution.
He is well versed in the requirements of Process Safety Management and guided multiple
chemical plants in the implementation of OSHA’s PSM standard.
As a Principal Consultant with the National Safety Council, Chuck provides consulting
and training services to clients within the manufacturing, process, and retail environments.
