How do I get my completion certificate after taking the course?
Once you've completed your online course, you can print your certificate immediately. If you take the course at an NSC Training Center, your instructor will give you a certificate after you've successfully completed the classroom course.
How much does the Defensive Driving Course cost?
The online program is $24.95, with 20% of the proceeds going towards NSC life-saving initiatives, including opioid misuse, teen driving, distracted driving and many others. Classroom courses do cost more. Cost varies based on what the training center chooses to charge. Please contact your training center directly.
How long does it take to complete the course?
The online course takes about 4 hours to complete (6 hours in New York). The classroom courses run 4, 6 or 8 hours in length, depending on your state. Contact your local training center to learn about course duration and cost.
What if there are multiple drivers on the same insurance policy purchasing this course?
If there are multiple drivers on the same insurance policy purchasing this course, you MUST make sure all drivers are logged out of the NSC LMS before the next user makes a purchase. If there are multiple learners using the same computer to complete the course, be sure to log out each time you exit the course and make sure your name is displayed at the top of the screen when you log in. You may also need to clear your internet browser cache and cookies before logging in.
