Texas Employers Honored by NSC for Leadership in Road Safety

Award recipients set the gold standard for workplace traffic safety education and innovation.

August 21, 2025

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Over the past three years, fewer people have died in crashes on Texas roads, thanks in part to the work of nine employers recognized today by the National Safety Council as safety leaders through the annual Our Driving Concern Texas Employer Traffic Safety Awards program.

All nine have implemented comprehensive road safety policies and procedures. They are committed to educating and training their employees and are dedicated to keeping both their workforce and the communities they serve safe. They’ve set a gold standard for others to follow.

“These organizations aren’t just following best practices, they’re leading the way on the Road to Zero – zero crashes, zero injuries, zero fatalities,” said Mark Chung, executive vice president of safety leadership and advocacy at NSC.

Still, one person was injured in a crash in Texas every two minutes and five seconds in 2024, and one reportable crash occurred every 57 seconds. Clearly, more work needs to be done.

NSC, in partnership with the Texas Department of Transportation, has presented the Our Driving Concern Texas Employer Traffic Safety Awards every year since 2014. The following organizations are being recognized this year:
