September 22, 2021

ITASCA, Ill., Sept. 22, 2021 – The National Safety Council, America’s leading nonprofit safety advocate, announced the appointment of Paul Vincent as workplace practice vice president.

In this role, Vincent oversees NSC membership, thought leadership and workplace product offerings. His leadership and vision will be critical in leading the more than 15,000 NSC-member organizations to higher levels of safety maturity. As part of these responsibilities, Vincent will guide the Campbell Institute and Work to Zero programs, along with workplace research, to drive workplace safety thought leadership. He will also play a pivotal role in leading NSC consulting and network efforts, strengthening the Council’s ability to provide dynamic workplace safety services to employers and safety leaders, and be responsible for NSC workplace products and services, including the COVID-19-related Safe Actions for Employee Returns (SAFER) initiative.

“We are thrilled to welcome Paul as the new leader of this vitally important practice area,” said Lorraine Martin, NSC president and CEO. “With experience at Fortune 50, mid-sized and start-up organizations, Paul brings a wealth of knowledge to the Council that will help further our mission to save lives and prevent injuries, from the workplace to anyplace.”

With more than 30 years of experience leading business units, Vincent joined NSC from Florida-based Pylon Manufacturing Corporation, where he most recently served as chief supply chain officer and vice president of International Pylon. He previously held leadership roles at both North American and global companies, including Sengware, Hyperion Innovations, The Knockout Group, Turtle Wax and Dana.

“It’s an absolute joy and privilege to join an organization with such a strong and noble mission as NSC,” said Vincent. “With workplace fatalities the highest they’ve been in over a decade in 2019, the most recent year of available data, we have a lot of work to do to reverse this trend. I look forward to collaborating with many partners and exploring all possible avenues to tackle this critical issue.”

From Somerset, England, Vincent received a Higher National Diploma in business and finance from Lancashire Polytechnic and a Master of Business Administration from Alliance Manchester Business School.
