WASHINGTON, D.C. – The National Safety Council, America’s leading nonprofit safety advocate, is proud to announce the 2024 CEOs Who “Get It,” an annual recognition presented to safety leaders who go the extra mile to protect employees both on and off the job. Seven individuals will be recognized in the February issue of Safety+Health magazine.

“Safety has changed so much over the years. From new technologies to previously unheard-of concepts and ideas, what safety is and means has shifted over time,” said Lorraine Martin, NSC president and CEO. “But no matter how we define safety, we will always need leaders working to maintain it as a guiding value for their organizations. Across industries and around the globe, this year’s honorees have proven their adaptability and openness to new ideas and solutions, emphasized worker well-being, encouraged employees to use their voices and made safety the top corporate value – no matter what. Their dedication to the value of safety is truly inspiring.”
A question-and-answer interview with each of the CEOs Who “Get It” is available at Safety+Health magazine.
