Itasca, IL – The National Safety Council applauds President Biden’s executive order challenging all Americans to wear a mask for 100 days and mandating mask wearing and physical distancing on federal property and during interstate travel. NSC previously urged state and business leaders to establish clear and consistent guidance on wearing facial coverings. We are encouraged by the aggressive approach to stopping the spread of coronavirus.

NSC continues to be committed to partnering with leaders in the private and public sector to support the safety of all Americans. The nation’s economy and health depends on effectively fighting this pandemic. Wearing masks, washing hands, physical distancing and other proven safety precautions are key components to keep us all safe, from the workplace to anyplace.
