Jodene Lopresto

Jodene “Jodi” Lopresto was born and raised in a small town in Missouri. On April 30th, 2014, everything changed in her family’s life forever. While she was driving to work, she was struck head on by an SUV going at least 95 mph.

The SUV driver and passenger had minor injuries. The SUV driver had five different drugs in her system at the time of the crash. Jodi was airlifted to University of Oklahoma Medicine Trauma Center in Oklahoma City, where she coded twice. She was rushed into surgery to start working on internal damage and her shattered body. Since then, Jodi has had more than 40 surgeries. She fights to continue to heal but has a passion to bring awareness of driving under the influence and distracted driving to change lives and help others.

Her organization, Jodene’s Voice, supports the Oklahoma ENDUI campaign, National Safety Council and Mothers Against Drunk Driving. She works with state legislatures on laws, as well as brings awareness to schools and the public. Some victims of impaired and distracted driving survive, but others are not able to share their story. Jodene shares her story to be the voice for the ones that can no longer use theirs.
