4-Hour Classroom Driver Safety Course

This classroom course provides key understanding, skills and techniques to avoid collisions, reduce traffic violations and change driver behaviors and attitudes. The lifesaving curriculum includes instructor and group interaction, workbook exercises and videos.

4-Hour Online Driver Safety Course

This interactive, online version of the 4-hour classroom course consists of pre- and post-assessments, engaging activities and video snippets. Drivers who have not enrolled in or attended a driver safety course in the previous 12 months based on ticket issuance date can take the Online 4-hour Driver Safety Course.

Students can complete the course at one time or login numerous times using the bookmarking feature to complete all course sessions. To pass the Online 4-hour DSC, students must receive a test score of 80% or better in no more than three attempts.

If you are scheduled to participate in the classroom version of the 4-Hour Driver Safety Course, you may be eligible to switch to the online version. Please call (888) 245-8450 or email [email protected] for assistance.

The Traffic Safety School technical support helpline, (800) 775-1484, is available from 7:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 7 to 11 a.m. Saturday. Or, email [email protected].

4-Hour Classroom Youth Driver Safety Course: Alive at 25

This highly-interactive course is geared towards young adults ages 25 or younger. Drivers in this age group have the option for their first ticket to attend either this classroom course or the 4-hour Online Driver Safety Course. Should someone in this age group choose Online DSC for their first ticket and receive a second ticket within 12 months (based on ticket issuance date) where Traffic Safety School is elected, the driver must then take the classroom Alive at 25 course.

Alive at 25 teaches young drivers that there are consequences to driving behavior and provides tools for making positive choices. Through media segments, group discussions, role playing and workbook exercises, young drivers develop strategies that keep them safe on the road.

8-Hour Classroom Driver Safety Course: Attitudinal Dynamics of Driving

Drivers older than 25 who completed a 4-hour Driver Safety Course and elect Traffic Safety School for a second ticket within 12 months based on ticket issuance date are automatically upgraded to the 8-hour course. This highly interactive course engages students in relearning road rules. Exercises explain the connection between choices and consequences, and help the student develop a plan to change their driving choices and behaviors.

The 8-hour course can be completed in one weekday or Saturday. The 8-hour course cannot be completed online.
