Opening Keynote: Ten Feet Tall and Bulletproof
Jack Jackson, SafeStart
It’s very common for people to believe that bad things only happen to other people. Does “That can’t happen to me” or “I’ve been doing this job for 30 years and I’ve never been hurt” sound familiar? Explore why adults think they are “safe enough” and learn new ideas on how to advance your safety culture by getting people to think differently about their own personal safety.
All Industry Workshop: Bullying, Harassment and Violence at Work are Safety Hazards Too!
I. David Daniels
I. David Daniels will moderate a conversation to define and differentiate these terms, discuss the role of safety professionals in this area, and help determine the role of the National Safety Council to lead the conversation around workplace violence in all its forms.
Division meetings, combined education sessions and technical tours provide varied opportunities to learn, network and engage with other industry safety professionals. Attending the spring meeting will enable division members to enhance safety skills, share ideas and goals for the future, meet and network with those within your industry and those with shared interests.
