WASHINGTON, D.C. – The National Safety Council, America’s leading nonprofit safety advocate, saw an increase in the number of safety professionals who attended this year’s NSC Safety Congress & Expo, which took place in October at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans.

The NSC Safety Congress & Expo, the world’s largest annual gathering of safety professionals, welcomed more than 11,000 safety, health and environmental professionals and distributors this year, marking an 11% increase from 2022 and a second consecutive year of double-digit growth. In addition, those attending represented the U.S., Canada and 68 other countries.

“We would like to give a big thank you to all who attended this year’s NSC Safety Congress & Expo,” said Lorraine Martin, NSC president and CEO. “With over 800 exhibitors, more than 125 educational programs and numerous networking opportunities for our thousands of attendees, the energy in New Orleans was unparalleled. The commitment to safety demonstrated by these professionals is stronger than ever, and we hope all walked away from this event with new tools, resources and insights to help make people safer from the workplace to anyplace.”

Since its inception, the NSC Safety Congress & Expo has featured industry-leading technology, education and networking opportunities for those in safety and related fields.
