WASHINGTON, D.C. – The National Safety Council is proud to announce the finalists for the 2026 Green Cross for Safety® awards, which recognize outstanding achievements in safety advocacy, excellence and innovation. Winners will be revealed at the Green Cross Celebration, presented by U. S. Steel.
Safety Advocate, sponsored by First Student: Recognizes those who have made a significant impact on safety by raising awareness and bringing about change.
Safety Excellence: Recognizes a corporation, coalition or organization that relentlessly pursued safety.
Safety Innovation, sponsored by Rhythm Innovations and the Rath Family Foundation: Recognizes a researcher, corporation or organization that approached a long-held challenge and developed a transformative response to the problem.
“Each of the organizations selected as finalists for the Green Cross for Safety Awards have impeccable records of dedicated leadership, a ceaseless openness to new ideas, and a total commitment to reducing injuries and saving lives in the workplace,” said Lorraine Martin, NSC CEO. “The National Safety Council is proud to recognize these organizations for advancing the value of safety and looks forward to announcing the award recipients at the upcoming Green Cross Celebration in Indianapolis.”
The winner of each category will be revealed at the Green Cross Celebration, presented by U. S. Steel, on Monday, Sept. 14, at the Indiana Roof Ballroom in Indianapolis.
