6th District International Representative, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers

Bob Stone currently works for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers as an international representative in the 6th District. Prior to taking the position in April 2023, he served as business manager for IBEW Local 2150 in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, where he continues to hold his membership.

He joined the IBEW in 1992 as a cable installer working in the Milwaukee Underground Department for Wisconsin Electric Power Company. In 1993 Bob transferred to the Oak Creek Power plant, accepting a position as a power plant electrician. In 1999 he was appointed as a shop steward for IBEW local 2150. It was at this time he began his interest in the leadership of his local union. In 2006 he was elected unit chair and to serve on the Local 2150 Executive Board. In 2009 Bob was elected president of Local 2150. In 2015 Bob was hired as a business agent for the Utility Sector of Local 2150. He also served as chair of the IBEW local 2150 Safety Committee, where he was actively involved in the safety concerns of his members. In 2018, he was promoted to assistant business manager.

He served on the Milwaukee Area Technical College Electrical Apprenticeship Advisory Board and was a delegate to the Milwaukee Area Labor Council. He also served as a member of the Customer’s First Coalition Board and was appointed to Governor Evers’s Climate Change Task Force.

Bob and his wife, Kris, have six sons and a daughter, and four grandchildren.
