Urgent Corona Virus Update: Effective Monday, March 16, all classroom version Cook County Traffic Safety classes are canceled through May 31, 2020. All classroom students will be transferred to a 4-hour online program approved by Cook County. Within several days of being notified your classroom course is canceled, you will receive a new confirmation email or postal letter that will include a unique access code and instructions on how to log in to take your online class. Please complete the online class at least 10 days prior to the end of your court supervision period.
National Safety Council, the leader in driver safety courses, has partnered with the Circuit Court of Cook County to provide Traffic Safety School.
Whether you have received a traffic ticket or are ordered by a judge, NSC offers the courses that will help you improve your driving skills and meet the needs of your court supervision. Classes are available in English, Spanish and Polish.
You may reschedule your Traffic Safety School class at no charge within the grace period, which ends 14 days prior to your scheduled class date. After this date, you may still reschedule your assigned class, however you will be charged a mandatory rescheduling fee. There will be no exceptions granted.
If you missed your scheduled class, it is imperative that you reschedule immediately. You will be charged the full tuition of $46 to reschedule a missed class. Traffic Safety School must be completed a minimum of 10 business days prior to the end of your court supervision period.
