About the Authors:
The book, formerly titled the 14 Elements of a Successful Safety & Health Program, was written by John Czerniak, CSP, MBA. Czerniak, a former consultant to NSC, has a diverse background in regulation and safety, health, and environmental management. He has been successful in guiding senior plant management and employee leadership teams in active development of site-specific safety management systems that significantly reduced employee injuries.
Don Ostrander, CSP, has three decades of experience as a safety manager, consultant, trainer and project manager with a proven track record of expertise and leadership in safety management both on and off the shop floor. He is a former director of product development and project manager of occupational safety and health services for NSC.
