Network meeting content includes discussions on key regulatory developments and leading HSE programs and practices.

Networking

• Members reduce their learning curve through intensive networking, sharing effective practices with peers, and interacting with HSE and business experts.
• NSC observes the Chatham House Rule. No discussions or other information shared at meetings are disclosed outside the membership. Members will never see a press report on anything said or presented during a meeting.
• The press is not allowed. Meetings have no exhibits or vendor sponsorships.

• NSC is uniquely positioned to facilitate member dialog with key regulators and government officials, by maintaining constructive relationships with OSHA, NIOSH, CSB, NTSB, NIH, EU-OSHA, Cal/OSHA, and Asia Pacific leaders, among others.

Annual Performance Benchmarking

NSC annually collects and publishes injury and illness reports where participating companies are able to compare their performance across 20 business sectors. The reports can be customized based on the data parameters, which include but are not limited to:

• Management systems and culture assessment

Member Ad Hoc Special Issue Benchmarking

At any time, members may request benchmarking surveys on issues of special  concern within their company.

Special Benchmarking Meetings

NSC holds 4-6 special benchmarking meetings annually, which are 1-day meetings dedicated to sharing effective practices and dialogue on a specific topic. Participation is open to any company willing to share an effective practice from their organization.

Our staff is comprised of a group of professionals at the forefront of the HSE profession with diverse backgrounds in industry, government and labor. All members have access to the entire staff through phone and email support, and one annual on-site visit

We collaboratively and constructively influences international and US national safety and health policy issues. We have a reputation as an honest broker supporting positive solutions for business, workers, and the government.

• NSC submits comments on significant emerging regulations.
• Our staff is able to serve as the liaison for member companies with OSHA and other regulatory agencies.

Member-driven task forces are leveraged to develop comments on emerging regulations, and create innovative and practical solutions to the critical problems confronting HSE professionals in today’s workplaces. Task Forces have addressed:

• Fatality and Serious Injury
• Contractor Safety
• Return on HSE Investments
• Pandemic Preparedness
• Performance Metrics
• Recordkeeping, PELs, Silica, PSM, etc.

In addition to the network meetings, we offer eight to 12 webinars annually, covering topics such as new regulations, continuing compliance concerns, and new practical initiatives that assist facilities in achieving performance excellence.

• Member companies may send an unlimited number of participants to any webinar, allowing them to leverage their membership throughout their organization.
• Upon member company request, we will develop customized webinars to meet individual company needs.
• CEUs are offered for participation in all webinars.

Our Country Profiles Library provides an overview of HSE regulatory requirements and audit checklists for 60+ countries and provinces. Profiles contain descriptions of key HSE laws and regulations, information on the legislative and regulatory process of each country or province, identification of local HSE governmental agencies and contacts, and links to government and other relevant HSE organizations websites.

• The Country Profiles Library is available to members companies of the networks with an international reach, including Global Health, Safety, and Environmental Forum, European Union Health, Safety and Environmental Forum, Asia Pacific Health, Safety and Environmental Forum, and Corporate Environmental Forum.
• Country Profiles are available for non-member purchase.

Continuing education and certification maintenance points are offered for attendance at all network meetings and webinars offered by NSC Networks.

Members have access to our member website as a key resource for HSE information. Within this site, members also have access to annual injury and illness data collection, and performance, organization and special topic data.
