The Future of Work-related MSD Prevention: Strengths and Weaknesses of Human and Automated Risk Analysis
3 p.m. (ET) Sept. 23

Wearable technologies are transforming the prevention of work-related musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) by providing objective, real-time insights into physical risk. This webinar, hosted by Work to Zero in partnership with McElhattan Foundation, explores how wearable sensors compare with traditional human risk assessments, highlighting the strengths and limitations of each approach and demonstrating how combining both can improve workplace safety and injury prevention. This webinar is presented by Etiscope – a wearable-tech solution that quickly identifies workplace tasks at risk of MSD injury.

The Work to Zero initiative at NSC is focused on making innovation more accessible for employers and helping to eliminate fatality risks at work through the use of safety technology, in partnership with McElhattan Foundation. The goal of the Work to Zero Safety Innovation Challenge is to spotlight emerging technologies designed to prevent serious workplace incidents and fatalities.

Run in collaboration with TechConnect, a division of Advanced Technology International, this year's Challenge highlights innovative technologies that can identify, secure and communicate hazardous energy risks in the workplace to drive down rates of injuries and fatalities.

Funded by McElhattan Foundation, the NSC Work To Zero Safety Innovation Challenge and Pilot Grant program are focused on eliminating fatality risk in the workplace through the use of technology.

Across a broad range of industries and occupations, workers rely on technologies to control hazardous energy, informally known as lockout tagout or LoTo. These technologies keep workers safe by preventing exposure to dangerous chemical, electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic or thermal energy sources.

Ten finalists will be selected to exhibit in our Safety Technology Pavilion. Visit Booth #1823 at the NSC Safety Congress & Expo to learn more about these technologies and vote for your favorite lifesaving tech! Every voter will be entered into a raffle to receive a special prize.
