Itasca, IL – The National Safety Council is proud to announce the finalists for the 2017 Green Cross for Safety awards, given annually to individuals and organizations that have demonstrated safety excellence in workplaces, in homes and communities and on the road.
"Our Green Cross for Safety award finalists provide blueprints for any person or organization focused on saving lives," said NSC President and CEO Deborah A.P. Hersman. "They recognize that safety is a journey and constantly ask, 'What more can we do?' We look forward to recognizing their accomplishments."
Finalists for the 2017 Green Cross for Safety awards are:
Excellence in Safety – presented to a corporation, coalition or organization that has created life-saving and injury-preventing safety solutions
Safety Innovation – presented to a corporation, coalition, individual or organization that has taken an innovative approach to solving a long-held safety challenge
Safety Advocate – presented to an individual who has made a significant personal impact on a safety issue to raise awareness and prevent injuries and deaths
