Michelle Garner-Janna is executive director of corporate health, safety & environment for Cummins Inc., a 62,500+ employee global power leader in over 190 countries and territories. Mrs. Garner-Janna is an accomplished business executive with more than 26 years of experience leading health, safety, environmental, manufacturing engineering & maintenance functions. In her current role, she develops and leads the global health & safety strategy for the organization. She is a Certified Safety Professional, Certified Professional Ergonomist and Certified 6-sigma Greenbelt.

Mrs. Garner-Janna holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in industrial engineering from Auburn University, as well as an executive MBA from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. She is chair of the Campbell Institute, member of Chief EH&S Officers Council and advisory board member of COVE - Center of Visual Expertise. She is also a professional member and past president of the West TN American Society of Safety Professionals, a member of the Memphis Waste Water Hearing Authority and frequently volunteers her time in community affairs.
